    2018-2019 Elected PTSA Board Members

     

    CamillaPresident - Camilla Layman

    Camilla has a 8th grader at Hamilton and a 5th grader. She is serving her second term as Hamilton PTSA President this year. Camilla enjoys reading and camping with her family -- at the same time, when possible.



     


     

    Vice President - Miki Takihana

    Miki has a 5th grader at Coe Elementary School in Queen Anne, who will be an incoming 6th grader at Hamilton in the 2018-2019 school year. She has years of experience on the Coe PTA board, where she served as BLT representative and Chairs for Finance Committee, Teacher/Staff Appreciation, Safety Committee and Multicultural Night. She worked as a program evaluation specialist for the United Nations Development Programme and International Labour Organization and was a program officer at the David and Lucile Packard Foundation. She has a PhD in public administration from the University of London.

    JenniferTreasurer - Jennifer Stephenson

    Jennifer is the mother of two daughters, a kindergartner at John Stanford and a 6th grader at Hamilton. She has worked professionally for 20+ years in public accounting and financial planning and analysis.  With an undergrad degree from Miami of Ohio, she earned her MBA from Kellogg Business School.  She is originally from Chicago and moved to Seattle with husband Rob in 2005.

     


     

    TerryVice President, Communications - Terry Doyle

    Terry has a 6th grade son at Hamilton, and a 4th grade daughter at John Hay. When he’s not running kids around or coaching lacrosse, he’s a Copywriter/Creative Director Consultant with 25+ years experience. While living in Atlanta, Terry taught for 10 years at the Portfolio Center and Creative Circus; advertising trade schools. Terry grew up on a farm an hour north of Buffalo, on Lake Ontario. #GoBills!

    Amy BarrettCo-Vice President, Fundraising - Amy Barrett

    Amy has a 6th grader daughter at Hamilton.  Originally from Texas, she moved to Seattle with her husband after graduating from Texas A&M (they're both fans of BBQ & beer).  Amy worked for 20 years as a sales manager for a security and communications company.  Now she likes working with local non-profits on issues of homelessness and other social-element projects.


    Xochil SquagliaVice President, Programs & Events - Xochil Squaglia

     

    Xochil is a Seattle native. With a 6th grader at Hamilton, she joined the PTSA board in the Fall of 2017. Xochil loves spending time with her daughter, and running her small business in Fremont. After graduating from Ingraham High, she went on to get separate certifications in spa training at Brenneke School of Massage, Gary Manuel Aveda Institute and Gene Juarez Academy. Xochil likes yoga, bike rides, cooking, traveling and baseball, as well as helping to create a sense of community whenever the opportunity arises!








    Elected positions constitute the Executive Committee and are elected by the PTSA Membership at its Spring Meeting.
