From baking brownies at home to working in the school library, volunteering opportunities at Hamilton are abundant and vary from one-time jobs, to on-going commitments. Volunteering is a GREAT way to support your student and connect with the Hamilton community.

If you plan to volunteer at Hamilton in a way that will have you working directly with students (not all jobs will), please complete the following Volunteer Requirements, and return all forms to Hamilton’s front office. If you have questions about this process, please email Hamilton Volunteer Coordinator, Trina Torgelson at kltorgelson@seattleschools.org.

Current Volunteer Needs

• Hawk Pride Hospitality
– Ongoing

The PTSA is seeking someone (or a team of someones) who would be willing to purchase (or bake) nut-free treats and deliver them to the front office for use at the school's monthly Hawk Pride ceremonies.  The ceremony typically honors 20-30 students (with their families) for good citizenship or academic achievement, and PTSA provides refreshments to make the event a bit more festive.  PTSA will reimburse volunteers for their expenses, and the front office staff takes care of the actual set-up and clean-up of the event.  The Hawk Pride ceremonies for 2015 will run in January, February, March, April and May.  If you think you might be able to assist with this effort, please contact lmelenyzer@gmail.com for more information.

Volunteer Database

Be the first to know when new volunteering opportunities pop up - sign up for our Volunteer Database!
From time to time, when a need for help arises, you will receive an email with the details. There is no obligation to volunteer and you can remove yourself at any time.
To sign up, send us an email with "Volunteer Database" in the subject line, to HamiltonPTSA@live.com

And THANK YOU for helping us continue Hamilton's strong tradition of parent involvement!
