8th Grade Promotion & End-of-Year Activities for All Grades
8th Grade Promotion:
Promotion: All 8th grade students and families are invited to join us for 8th Grade Promotion on Friday, June 12 in the Hamilton International Middle School gymnasium. Families are requested to be seated no later than 12:45 p.m. for the ceremony.
Immediately following the ceremony, the PTSA will host a reception complete with refreshments. Please remember that we have limited seating capacity in the gym, and please be mindful of our neighbors when parking that afternoon. 8th graders will receive further instruction about the day in the coming weeks.
8th Grade Cruise
All 8th grade students are invited to join us for the traditional 8th grade field trip, an Argosy Cruise and dance on Monday, June 15. Permission slips have been distributed through Homerooms and are due back as soon as possible. The cost of the field trip is $45 per student and we have full and partial scholarships available for any student who might need one. Our goal is that all students who wish to go on the cruise are able to do so. Please contact our 8th grade counselor, Neil Yeda (email@example.com) if you are aware of any student who might have a need.
All 7th grade students will have the opportunity to spend the day participating in sports and activities at Lower Woodland Field. Students will walk with teachers to the park and lunch will be provided. Students will leave the building about 9:30 a.m. and return to Hamilton by 2:20 p.m. The cost is $7 for each student. More information and permission slips will be distributed the first week in June.
We are excited to celebrate the last Monday of the school year (June 15). The Family Fun Center in Tukwila is a fun filled day of arcade games, water boats, cotton candy, and laughter. Hamilton 6th graders will leave the building around 9:30 a.m. to travel to Kent, and will return to Hamilton by 2:20 p.m. The cost is $15 for each student and they can bring a lunch or purchase one there. Permission slips will be distributed the first week in June.
Last day of school
Tuesday, June 16 will be a regular school day for all students. School will dismiss one hour early (at 1:20 p.m.), and we will have a regular schedule with shortened class periods. We understand that some families may have already made plans or commitments for that day. If you know in advance that your student will not be at school, please contact our attendance office so we can ensure that we are appropriately documented your student’s absence.
Please don’t hesitate to contact your grade level administrator if you have any questions or concerns about these end-of-the-year activities.

Ingraham High Welcome Wagon Ice Cream Social

FOMAHI Is Still Seeking Volunteers for the Fall
Greetings music parents! I hope you and your child(ren) are having a wonderful end of the year. As we wrap up the 2014-15 school year, we are also preparing to say goodbye to many wonderful FOMAHI board members, volunteers, and friends who are moving on to new schools and new adventures.
We still have some key board positions open, including co-president (multiple seats) and some chair positions. We also always need people to just lend a hand here and there. If you would like to learn more about our organization, please contact Jacqui Kramer at email@example.com. You can also ask the bake sale table at any concert to point out a FOMAHI rep – we’re often behind the table or nearby!

HIMS Drama classes are performing! Come to see HIMS Drama students perform on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in the HIMS commons, starting at 7:00 p.m.
Two classes are performing: The Advanced Drama class is performing the classic Mesopotamian legend, “The Epic of Gilgamesh” and the Improv Drama class will perform original comedy skits. Don’t miss the fun!

HOST AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Attention 8th Graders! Interested in being a part of Roosevelt High School Football?
Come to the All-Comers Spring Kickoff meeting and BBQ after school at Roosevelt on Friday, May 29. Students of all ability and experience who are interested in playing football are encouraged to attend this one day introduction to the program. Meet the coaches, future teammates and learn about the program. Afterwards, enjoy BBQ with team and family. Practices start Monday, June 1st after school. All paperwork needs to be completed and fees paid before a player can practice.
