Welcome to Lincoln High School – Home of the Lynx! Our opening year has gone well, and we are excited to be adding a new freshmen class this fall. Relationships and a successful transition are essential to success in high school.

We look forward to building a strong partnership with our students and families as we prepare for the upcoming year. If you haven’t already done so, please visit our website at lincolnhs.seattleschools.org, where you will find lots of useful information.

    Selecting Classes

Online course selection via The Source for current Seattle Public School students will be open from April 22 through April 27.

Lincoln Counselors will be hosting a virtual “Course Selection Presentation” via Zoom on Wednesday, April 22, at 7 pm. The presentation is primarily geared towards 9th-grade students but will have useful information for all incoming students. The presentation will walk students through the online registration process as well as a few other topics of interest to new Lincoln students. Here is the Zoom link to use for the presentation:

Topic: Incoming 9th Grade Course Selection Presentation

Time: Apr 22, 2020 07:00 PM Pacific Time (US and Canada)

    Meeting ID: 352 931 9940

If you are unable to “attend” the meeting, it will be recorded and posted to the Lincoln website counseling page by Friday, April 24.

Students coming from schools outside of Seattle Public Schools (private, homeschool, out of district) will not be able to complete online course registration through The Source. New to the district, students will select courses through a Forms link that will be sent to families AND posted online.

    IEP Students

For students with IEPs, if you have not already met or contacted Lisamarie Mandapat, our IEP Services Coordinator, please make a point to do so. Email her at limandapat@seattleschools.org

Ms. Mandapat will help determine the IEP services and classes needed to best support your student’s learning.

    Athletics & Activities

Lincoln offers many opportunities for students to get involved. Visit our “Student Life” tab on the Lincoln website to view opportunities with clubs, athletics, club sports, and activities. Registration for fall sports will be happening soon. Registration is online through our FamilyID portal. To view athletic eligibility requirements, visit the athletics page under “Student Life” on our website.

    Let Us Know

If your plans change and you will NOT be attending Lincoln next year, please let us know. First, a parent/guardian should send written notice to our Registrar, Michele Warner, at mbwarner@seattleschools.org. Second, log on to the district website, seattleschools.org, to officially withdraw your student, when you are on the district website type “not attending next year” in the search box and follow the directions from there to drop your enrollment for Lincoln. Dropping your enrollment helps us with planning for next year.
