Dear Hamilton Community,
I hope this message finds you safe and well. I recognize that there is still a lot of questions about middle school students returning to in person learning. I am still waiting for finalized information from Seattle Public Schools based on ongoing negotiations. I realize the uncertainty can be a source of stress for students and families. Please know that as soon as I have updates, I will share that information with families. Once again, I appreciate your continued patience and support for our students, staff, and community.
Below are some important updates and announcements:

Due to the generosity of our community, Hamilton has enough Kroger gift cards available to provide for any of our families who could use some assistance at this time. We also may have the capacity to help families with other bills. If your family could use some extra support at this time, please either contact your student’s grade level counselor directly or contact our main office number (206-252-5810) for assistance. You can also use our family needs link.
As a reminder, our grade-level counselors are:
- Tina Camero 8th grade
- Kelli Colleran 7th grade
- Lilia Goldsmith 6th grade
Middle School Sports Update:
Principals received the announcement yesterday from the SPS athletic department that middle school sports will not start until the fall of 2021. I realize this news may be a disappointment for students who were hoping to participate in team sports this spring. The goal next year is to align middle school sports to start in conjunction with high school sports in the fall.
