    School Update 04.30.21
    Posted on 05/03/2021

    Dear Hamilton Community,

We have had a tremendously smooth start to launching our new Hybrid Schedule, and we appreciate your patience and support as we continue to enhance our instructional model.  It’s hard to believe we are heading into the last seven weeks of school!

Below you will find some important reminders and announcements.

5th Grade Risers - Meet The Principal Live Remote Presentations Upcoming in late May:

    • For our incoming 5th grade Risers, we are planning to host live remote Meet The Principal presentations towards the last two weeks of May.  Stay tuned for more information.

    Yearbook Announcement:

    • Yearbooks Go On Sale – May 3 to May 24

The Hamilton International Middle School Yearbook has been submitted to the publisher and is in process for production!  This year’s book will include collections of photos made or submitted by students, collections of student writing, and much more.  Our Journalism class along with Yearbook Advisor Mr. McCartney have worked hard this year to get creative and make a memory book that Hamilton students will be excited to own.

The cost of this year’s book will be $20, and purchase can be made via Schoolpay, or payments in cash or check (made out to HIMS ASB) can be submitted to our school’s main office.  Sales will be open between May 3 – May 24, or until we run out of copies!

Hamilton wants to ensure that the cost of the book will not impede any student from receiving a book, so if your family would like to request a free copy, please contact either Lisa Melenyzer, Hamilton’s Fiscal Specialist (lmmelenyzer@seattleschools.org) or your student’s counselor for assistance.

Please note that books are not due to be delivered to Hamilton until July so we will schedule some pick-up opportunities at the school during in late July and early August.
