Reflections Art Contest

Reflections Art Contest at Hamilton International Middle School

Reflections is a National PTA arts competition that provides an opportunity for students to use their creative talents. PTA believes all children deserve a quality arts education and encourages students to pursue artistic expression through participation in its annual arts Reflections Program. The program offers students the opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition. For more than 40 years, the program has encouraged millions of students across the nation and in American schools overseas to create works of art. The Reflections Program was started in 1969 by then Colorado PTA President Mary Lou Anderson.

Reflections takes original student submissions, inspired by the year’s theme, in the area of visual art, photography, literature, music composition, film and dance choreography. There is also an optional “special artist” category for students who have a disability, qualifying under the ADA.

The 2021-22 theme is: “I Will Change The World By…..”

This year’s program will be virtual. Hamilton students who wish to participate in either literature, art/photography, or music categories may get submission instructions or any other questions on the program by contacting Annie Rodak at:  a_broccoli@yahoo.com.

Submission deadline for HIMS was Wednesday, October 20th 2021.
