School Meals

The Hamilton Cafeteria serves delicious and nutritious breakfasts and lunches during each school day. Breakfast is served daily from 8:40 to 8:55 a.m. and lunch is served daily between 11:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. There are three separate 30-minute lunch periods. A student?s assigned lunch period depends on their grade and class schedule and almost all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students have lunch with students in their grade level.

Breakfast costs $2.00 and lunch costs $3.00. Students can either pay cash for their food each day or pay ahead. To pay ahead, students must bring a check made out to ‘HIMS’ and give it to the Cafeteria Manager. Also, you may arrange for On-Line Payment for Meals. For families that qualify as low-income, there is no charge for school meals. Free and Reduced Price Meal applications are mailed out during the summer and are also available in the HIMS Main Office and from Cafeteria staff.

For further information, see the Nutritional analysis of our meals and information about Food Allergies and Special Diet Requests, as well as additional information, can be found on the Seattle School District Culinary Services page.
