Hamilton Athletics

Hamilton students can participate in a variety of athletics in the fall, winter, and spring. Teams are formed for Soccer, Basketball, Track, Volleyball and Ultimate Frisbee . Nearly every sport has a varsity, junior varsity, and developmental team.

Sports Seasons

Fall Sports (September-November) Girls Soccer & Coed Frisbee

  • Games: October, November, December
  • Games on Saturdays
  • Playoffs all on 1 Saturday
  • Championship bracket for top four teams, all teams will play at least 1 game

Winter Sports (December-February) Boys & Girls Basketball

  • Games: January, February, March
  • Games on Saturdays
  • Playoffs all on 1 Saturday
  • Championship bracket for top four teams, all teams will play at least 1 game

Spring Sports (March-May) Coed Track, Boys Soccer & Girls Volleyball

  • Games: March, April & May
  • Games on Saturdays
  • Playoffs all on 1 Saturday
  • Championship bracket for top four teams, all teams will play at least 1 game

Athletic Registration Forms

Please follow the steps listed below.

Completion of steps 1-5 are required to be eligible to try out and participate in athletics. Players must have a current physical on file with Hamilton. Physicals can be turned in to Mr. Shoecraft in the main office. Your student can check in the main office to see if they already have a current physical on file. Physicals are valid for two years from the appointment date.

During their season, students must have at least a 2.0 GPA and no more than one grade below a C-“in order to participate in that week’s game.

Middle School Athlete Forms

Use the following guide to register your student for athletic programming. Once complete, these forms should be forwarded to the school where your student is participating.

Step 1: Athletic Registration Forms

Print, complete and return forms to school. Please note, high school and K-8/middle school students complete the same form.

Step 2: Physical Exam Forms

Student Athletic Physical Forms

  • The HISTORY document (Page 1) should be completed and remain with your provider
  • The EXAM document (Page 2) should be the only item submitted to your athletic school
  • Physicals are valid for 24 consecutive months

Step 3: Program Guardian Release & Warning Forms

All forms are required. 

Step 4: Sport-Specific Guardian Release & Warning Forms

For each school year, one form is required for each sport student will participate.

Step 5: Guardian Awareness Forms

Print, complete and return forms to school.

Information sheets should be read and referred to throughout the year, but Information sheets do not need to be turned in to the school.

This checklist is for students who wish to participate with their neighborhood school’s athletic programs but are either not enrolled within the district OR who current district students needing to be cross-enrolled from their alternative high school. If any questions about the checklist, please contact the athletic school where your student would be participating.
