Go Guardian
Your students’ teachers have new tools this year to ensure that school distributed laptops are used as tools to support learning outcomes.
The GoGuardian tools were being tested in most Hamilton classrooms by the end of the 2023-2024 school year. This year, they are available in all classrooms.
These digital tools help teachers keep students focused on classroom activities by allowing teachers to see and control what students are doing on their devices during school hours.
Teachers can open and close pages on student devices, block or allow specific websites, create curated resources for individual students, send students individual messages, and create reports showing student activities and website usage during class.
The programs also help teachers identify students who need additional supports or extra challenges.
GoGuardian is only enabled while on the school network during school hours.

The school district website has more information about these digital tools including privacy regulations and data security features. District provided GoGuardian information.
Families can also limit their student’s laptops to a school-curated list of websites by enrolling in the district’s restricted-internet configuration program. To enroll, please email cybersecurity@seattleschools.org.
